Orangeburg Secure was founded in 2021 by a team of email infrastructure engineers who spent years running MTAs at scale. We saw the same pattern repeatedly: organizations invested in endpoint protection and SIEM, but email — the #1 attack vector — still flowed through unfiltered or under-filtered paths.
We built a gateway-first approach: sit in front of the mail server at the MX layer, apply multi-engine analysis on every message, and give security teams programmatic control through a modern API. No agent installs. No Outlook plugins. Just two MX record changes.
Today we process over 45 million messages per month across 200+ organizations. Our gateway runs on dedicated infrastructure with inbound port 25 for MX acceptance and outbound port 25 for filtered relay delivery — the standard architecture for production email security.
Initial gateway prototype deployed. First 10 beta customers onboarded via MX cutover.
REST API v1 released with px_live_/px_test_ key system. Quarantine console and webhook events shipped.
Attachment detonation VMs and URL rewrite engine added. BEC detection module launched.
